I feel like my nose is too broad and not long enough for my face. I have otherwise traditionally masculine features (large forehead, long midsection and defined jawline) but my snub nose takes away from it and has done a number on my self-esteem
Answer: Lengthening the nose... You can decrease the short appearance of the nose by undergoing rhinolasty to lengthen it as well as thin and define it better. It is not easy to lengthen a nose so be sure that you are seeing a rhinoplasty specialist for consultation.

Answer: Preparing for rhinoplasty Thank you for your question and photos. Your nose does seem disproportionately small for the rest of your facial features. The tip is also wide. A tip refinement would help to narrow the tip, while lengthening of the bridge would improve the overall size. Make sure you select an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon who will take the time to listen carefully to your concerns and goals. I also offer image morphing for my patients to help them visualize results prior to surgery. Good communication between a patient and surgeon is critical to ensure the patient’s expectations are met after the procedure.

Answer: Masculinizing Rhinoplasty I agree that, in general, your nose is pretty good. It is straight and reasonably symmetric. Your plastic surgeon should be able to take your concerns and correlate them to your nasal analysis; addressing an over-rotated tip, refining the tip and/or adding to the dorsum/radix could be considered. Best of luck!

Answer: Rhinoplasty options Yes I think your face looks great, including your nose. But I understand what you don't like about your nose. Your tip can certainly be refined by reducing the bulk, narrowing it and giving it a bit more definition. Your skin looks like it might be a bit on the thicker side which will limit how much definition you might be able to get. In addition the dorsum looks like it might be a little on the low side. You might consider adding height to the dorsum which will then allow some tip grafting to strengthen the tip. These are just some thoughts you can discuss at your consult. Take photos of noses you like. Communication is the key to getting the results you want. Good luck.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Your nose is proportionally small to the rest of your facial features. An augmentation rhinoplasty will be needed, to increase in height, both your bridge and tip, as well as providing some narrowing and definition to the tip.
