Is it appropriate to request oral steroids to help clear up a rash from an allergic reaction? (Photo)

REW23
For the first time ever, this past Friday I received Botox injections in my forehead and in between my eyebrows. Sunday morning (approx. 40 hours later) I woke up to a red, itchy, rash across my forehead. I called the dermatologist’s nurse who informed me that it was an allergic reaction to the numbing gel they used. She recommended hydrocortisone cream 3x/day and said it could take a week to clear up. I’m not sure I can handle this for a week.
