How can I improve the appearance of my belly button after pregnancy and bad piercing? (Photo)

I had my daughter aged 18 and am now 24. I had my naval pierced at 15 but as it never healed properly I had it removed and it left a nasty scar. During pregnancy the scar stretched and I've been left with a saggy and wrinkly belly button. I got it re pierced a few months ago to improve the appearance but I am still very insecure about it. What is my solution and how expensive is it likely to be?

Thank you for your question.  Umbilicoplasty changes the position, size and shape of your belly button.  It's quite common, after pregnancy, piercing or as a result of a hernia around the belly button, that the attachment of the belly button to the deeper tissue is lost.  This results in what is commonly known as the 'outie belly button' or the shape is abnormal.  For some like yourself, most do not like the appearance.  Some umbilical hernias can be serious if not treated so please seek out a board certified plastic surgeon in your area.  You should have a private consultation to discuss desired results and see before and after pictures of previous patients.

Thank you for sharing your question and photograph.  It appears that you only have a small amount of excess skin along the upper portion of your navel which can be repaired with an umbilicoplasty procedure.  With removal of a small crescentic segment of skin you should expect a flatter result.  Hope this helps.
