How can I get rid of a naval piercing? My skin is close to breaking through? (Photo)

Hi I just had a baby 3 monthe ago and my naval piercing I have is getting huge. I actually took my belly button ring out because I'm afraid my skin is actually going to rip through. Is there a procedure I can go through to just get rid of my belly button ring hole all together? And will there leave a scar or will that heal in time?

By removing the ring the opening will shrink slowly
and most of the time surgery is not required.
When needed the pierced site may be excised.

The belly button ring tissue expanded with your pregnancy and depending on the duration you have had the piercing, it is unlikely to close on its own. The pierced track can be excised and repaired or the entire bridge depending on remaining viability of the tissues. The scars can be camouflaged at the top border of the belly button.
