I'm 18 years old and male, my profile looks very abnormal compared to other peoples my age and it kills my self esteem. What's the best treatment?

Your photos do demonstrate a recessive chin, so you appear to be a good candidate for augmentation of your chin with an implant.  This would help to balance your profile.  I would consult with a facial plastic surgeon or plastic surgeon.  There are many different styles and sizes of chin implants that are available.

Hello and thank you for your question and photographs. Using a 3D Vectra camera system would be a great option to see how a chin implant would look in a 3 dimensional analysis of your face.  Some patients with a small chin may want to consider a chin implant to help balance the face.  A stronger chin may help your nose appear smaller.  You may also benefit from a conservative rhinoplasty.  If you are going to have a chin implant, I ususally recommend the two surgeries be done at the same time.  I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person.Best wishes and good luck.

With your more moderate jaw deficiency, the combination of chin and jaw angle implants will make a very noticeable change in the lower third of your face. Have computer imaging to first see what these jawline changes would look like.

Chin implants are manufactured in a large variety of shapes and sizes, are composed of Silastic, and are usually inserted  through a submental approach under local anesthesia as an outpatient procedure.
