Had a genioplasty done w/ Dr Jamali on Oct. 2023. Dr. Jamali was very cordial and expedient. My surgery was only 5 days after the initial consultation. Surgery itself was a breeze. 7 months later, no complications and I'm super happy w/ the results!
I saw Dr. Jamali about 3.5 months ago for a partial v-line, a genioplasty, and wisdom tooth removal. The result, the experience, and the entire process was beyond amazing. This surgeon is one in a billion - I have never seen such delicate handling of his patients met with such superior skill. I never write reviews, but I feel so taken care of by this Dr, as well as amazed at the skill he has, that I am so happy to recommend him. I was very nervous at first, as this was a large cost for me and it was across the country, as I live in Texas, but it was beyond worth it. In my experience, no one else could have given me not only what I wanted, but a far better result both aesthetically and functionally than I could have imagined. Lastly, his energy and attentiveness was lovely - he was caring, supportive, checked in on my recovery, ensured I was doing well, and also allowed me to feel safe and secure in his care. Amazing surgeon, amazing man. So happy that I selected him as my surgeon.
Surgery went great, staff was accomplished, couldn't be happier with the results. Everything was explained and I was given realistic expectations. Just had my follow-up and everything healed perfectly. I got the sliding genie along with FaceTite procedure.
Where do I begin with Dr. Jamali? He’s an incredible orthognathic surgeon and guided me through an intense and complicated jaw surgery, with an even more intense and complicated recovery period. Dr. Jamali is highly skilled, but also kind and attentive. For a year before my surgery, he calmed my fears, explaining every step and making sure I knew what to expect. Afterward, he checked in consistently and made sure I was healing properly. When I wasn’t (nothing to do with him, just my complicated jaw), he was available 24/7. I knew I could trust him completely and also absolutely love Nina, his receptionist! Jaw surgery is no small feat, but I knew I was in good hands and can’t thank the team enough for my new smile. It was all worth it!
I wanted a more defined jawline and youthful skin appearance and decided that Morpheus would be the best next step for me. I am so happy I went to Dr. Jamali’s office for my Morpheus treatment. He was very kind and caring and took his time explaining every step. I am impressed with my results. My only regret is that I did not do this sooner with him. Thank you Dr. Jamali!
Dr. Jamali was the most kind and comforting doctor throughout my entire Maxillofacial surgery journey. If it was a text or phone call, Dr. Jamali was always very quick to respond which made me feel taken care of at all times. I was a little nervous as this was my first time having major surgery but Dr. Jamali couldn't have been more supportive during the process. From the first consultation to the Invisalign process after the surgery Dr. Jamali is still only a text away which is way above the call of duty. I would recommend Dr. Jamali to anyone looking or having to go through the maxillofacial surgery process.
I began my journey with Dr. Jamali in October 2021 after years of researching and consultations with surgeons. I was told by my orthodontists at the age of 12 that I would need double jaw surgery after wearing braces until the age of 16. Fast forward, for the past 10 years I have been trying to learn and understand both the medical and cosmetic components of the surgery I needed. For the past several years I have had consultations with doctors that did not leave me confident that they knew what it was I needed and the way I wanted to look post-surgery. I began to get discouraged and also more and more insecure with my underbite and prominent jaw and chin. After one meeting with Dr. Jamali I felt more than comfortable with choosing him as the surgeon to begin this journey. He understood what it was I looking for and took the time to really explain what it was he could do and the process it would take. Additionally, he let me know he could cater my journey to my timeline and do what he considered “surgery first”. Dr. Jamali was also VERY informed about the cosmetic aspect and very detailed in his planning of what he would do during the operation. I chose to use Dr. Goodman as my ortho per Dr. Jamali’s recommendation and began treatment in Feb 2022. They make a great team and are very detailed in their strategy of my treatment plan. Dr. Jamali removed all 4 of my wisdom teeth as well as an additional extraction of a molar which was a recommendation of Dr. Goodman. The wisdom tooth extraction was surprisingly seamless and painless. I was expecting a tough process, but I recovered quickly and easily and accredit that to Dr. Jamali’s skillset. In April of 2022 I went ahead and had double jaw surgery and sliding genioplasty for a chin reduction. I put a lot of trust in Dr. Jamali and Dr. goodman and so far, have been thoroughly pleased. I am still swollen and healing but have had an amazing recovery compared to others I have heard about. Additionally, Dr. Jamali’s team has been excellent! I can’t even begin to speak highly enough of Nina and the coordination she does! From scheduling, to handling insurance and answering questions, she’s amazing! I am excited to be fully healed and see the results but very pleased with Dr. Jamali and my results thus far.
I had sliding genioplasty on mid January, 2022 with Dr. Jamali. I am so happy with the result. It really balanced my face well and enhanced my profile. Also it improved my gummy smile. I can’t put into words to describe how happy I am. It’s a best decision I have ever made. I did a lot of research about this surgery, I was so worried about the pain. But the recovery was painless. The only downside was I couldn’t eat solid food for first ten days. If anyone who is thinking to have genioplasty surgery, I highly recommend Dr. Jamali. He is professional in his practice.
Excellent experience, excellent results. Dr. Jamali was helpful, kind, and transparent at every stage. From the first consultation, to the surgery, to every follow up. He is happy to answer any and all questions, and does not hesitate to explain in different ways to make sure everyone understands exactly what everything means. I highly recommend seeing him for your maxillofacial surgical needs.
I have had two different procedures with Dr. Jamali, a bone graft and dental implant, and for both of them I have had amazing results. He is one of the best oral surgeons that I have been to. He treats his patients with utmost regard and care. I definitely recommend Dr.Jamali for any surgical dental work that you may want done as he and his staff will be sure to provide you with the service that you need. Also, their Brooklyn office has a very welcoming ambience, which makes you feel at home. :)
It is a tough one. I would lean towards jaw surgery. 3 issues are a concern here: 1. Already a nice labiomental fold and if S.G. is performed, the fold would get deepend. 2. Family history of OSA 3. Existence of maloccolussion. Solution:1. Pre surgical orthodontics2. Send to your medical insurance for pre-approval for jaw surgery3. Jaw advancement
I believe if you want the full improvement then you should get jaw and chin surgery. This is done in hospital after doing some pre-surgical orthodontics. If you do not wish to go through this route then you could get away with a small implant. In general I prefer sliding genioplasty because it is more natural looking. We can advance your chin to get a proper shape to the labiomental fold. Currently your chin has minimum curvuture. S.G. is a procedure done in the office setting under general anesthesia. It is safe, take 1 hour to do and you go home after the procedure. It has minimum pain. Recovery is about 10 days.
I would do sliding genioplasty advancement along with Facetite and Morpheus8 to tighten the skin to give you more definition
You could combine the Facetite and Morpheus8 together to get a better result. Facetite. Sagging of skin will not occur as Morpheus tightens it and produces collagen indirectly.
You could still get Morpheus. The needles are 4mm long. So if the implant is placed in the sub periosteal layer, it won’t be affected.
