Thank you for your picture. Your profile looks very good. I would not recommend any chance enhancement for you.
In general, I love chin implants! This is a nice, easy and safe way to enhance your profile. From the limited view photo you sent, I would recommend either no implant or a small one. Your chin in profile view looks good and if you did anything aggressive you would likely not be happy with the way it masculinizes your face. We do offer photo imaging (essentially "photoshopping") of your photo that can simulate the amount of projection you would get from a chin implant. Again, for you conservative is the way to go.
It is difficult to render a thorough evaluation based on the single profile picture you include with your question, however, it does appear that you might benefit from a small chin implant. You should be cautioned against placement of too large a chin implant, since this could make your mental sulcus artificially deep and the lower third of your face appear out of proportion to the upper two thirds. In your case, the small chin implant could be placed through a gingivobuccal sulcus incision, making the scar invisible to everyone except your dentist.
With limited view of you face, it is difficult to render an opinion. However with this limited lateral view, you can benefit from a small chin implant.
Just one limited view and no examination is tough to offer an opinion as your are close to being in a balanced chin/neck relationship. Chin augmentation most often is used to restore balance to the face due to a weak chin (under-projecting in profile). This disproportion of facial structure—having a small chin—tends to make the nose look larger and results in a poor jaw/neckline.Patients whose chin profiles are weak but have normally functioning jaws are candidates for Chin Augmentation. Many of these candidates have used injectable fillers in the past to strengthen the protrusion of their chins, but are looking for a permanent solution. If you are one of these patients, then you are a likely candidate for chin augmentation.#chinaugmentation#chinimplant
Hello and thank you for your question and photograph. Using a 3D Vectra camera system would be a great option to see how a chin implant would look in a 3 dimensional analysis of your face. Some patients with a small chin may want to consider a chin implant to help balance the face. A stronger chin may help your nose appear smaller. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person.Best wishes and good luck.
A chin implant can really help to define a persons profile. You should meet with a Board Certified Plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and it's a good idea to have the surgeon show you various examples of implants so you can get an idea of the shape and size you want.
Based on your photo, which gives very limited information, you could consider chin augmentation. However, you will need to have a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon for detailed clinical evaluation and to discuss your options. Good luck.
A full set of photographs are required of the chin and the entire face to make any determination about being a candidate for a chin implant, because the chin and the implants are both three-dimensional structures. It's also important to have a picture of the entire face since the chin is very important for facial balance and proportions. Chin implants are composed of Silastic, are inserted through a submental approach under local anesthesia as an outpatient surgical procedure. The implants are manufactured in a variety of sizes and shapes which is usually determined at the time of the examination. Thank you for the photo and question and though an examination aided by digital photography is really needed, it does appear from the one photo that you would benefit from a chin implant. So go on some consults and see your image digitally enhanced to see if you like what a chin implant might do for you.Dr. Corbin
Cheek, temple and lip augmentation would create a more feminine face. Only with strong cheek, temple and lip augmentation should modest chin augmentation be considered. You have a nicely shaped nose that would be easy to make appear over done and the cheek augmentation would balance the nose to...
Thanks for your pictures. If you have a retrusive lower jaw then a BSSRO of the lower jaw is best. A sliding genioplasty can be added to the BSSRO for better aesthetics if needed.
First of all, at ten days, you're still very much in the healing process. It may take another week or so for the bruising and major swelling to subside. Apply warm compresses to the involved areas 3-4 x's/d for 15 mins at a time. There does appear to be some asymmetry in the chin implant area...
