I had 0.5ml of Juvederm injected into my lips 8 days ago. Had no bruising afterwards just a small amount of swelling and my lips seemed to settle pretty fast although I can "feel" the lines of filler in my lips. This morning the line of filler in my lower lip has a lump in it if I make my lip taught, and also is a bit of a reddy/bruised colour compared to the rest of my lips and is slightly swollen (not painful). I've contacted the nurse and she said it doesn't look like anything to worry about.

Thank you for your question. It is not unusual to have lumps after filler injection. This is only temporary and will dissipate after 6-12 months. You can also have this dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase. It is unlikely you have permanent damage from the lump.
I would say that the swelling is more than I would expect and I would give you steroids. An IM shot will work faster followed by oral prednisone. If the lips are massaged/manipulated after the injection, this can occur. I would call the office again or stop by.
Thank you for your question. It is always best to inject both lips. However, having some swelling after kip augmentation is normal and should resolve in 2 weeks. I recommend having some filler injected into your lower lip. If you are unhappy with the results you can always have the filler...
