Is it normal to have lump inside my nose from where Juvederm ultra 3 was injected?

Hi, I have an indented scar in my right alar which made the skin on my nostril soft. To correct I had Juvederm ultra 3-o.3 ml injected in the right alar 5 months ago, which was injected poorly. I can feel a small lump INSIDE my nose for where the juvederm was injected. I know it'S normal for lumps to occur but the fact it is inside my nose where the right alar is what I am not too sure about. Will this disappear over time as the filler dissolves or is my cartilage damaged from the injection?

The title of this answer says it all, i.e. that lumps after the proper injection of a filler are unusual, as well as undesirable. Fortunately for you, Juvederm, a temporary, hyaluronic acid-based filler was used, which means that the lump will gradually go down spontaneously within about six to twelve months. Hyaluronidase may be used if you wish to speed the process of dissolution. Permanent damage from the lump is very unlikely. So, you can relax. Going forward, be sure to consult with a board certified aesthetic physician before agreeing to proceed with any treatment, and make certain to check out his/her before and after photos.

Thank you for your question. It is not unusual to have lumps after filler injection. This is only temporary and will dissipate after 6-12 months. You can also have this dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase. It is unlikely you have permanent damage from the lump.

It is unlikely to cause any permanent damage.  If the lumps are bothersome to you they can be dissolved by hyaluronidase or will disappear over time on their own. Hope that helps.

This is not common and will gradually go away. The cartilage is not damaged. If you want to expedite it's dissipation, injecting hyaluronidase is effective in dissolving the filler.
