Fat transfer to lips after Juvederm? Also after the fat transfer, is it ok if I get a Juvederm injection once in awhile ?

Interesting question, but you may not need Juvederm after fat transfer to your lips because studies show that 35-70% of fat transferred to the face lasts forever. After fat transfer, evaluate how happy you are with the size of your lips, and if you wish to go bigger, it is OK to be treated with Juvederm. If you like the further increase in size achieved with Juvederm, then you may have more fat transferred for a longer lasting result, or continue with Juvederm as needed. Thank you for the question. It is very common for patients to try filler injections before going through with fat transfer. HA fillers typically last 5-7 months. Fat transfer can be very appealing to some patients because it involves injecting your own healthy fat cells into the desired areas to recapture that youthful appearance in one procedure, instead of coming in every couple months to get fillers. Although there is a degree of fat that can be metabolized, fat transfer lasts much longer and is more permanent than any filler injection procedure. If you do desire more fullness after getting fat transfer, it is common and safe to get touch ups with fillers.
