I had fue hair implants 10 days ago , around 2500 grafts has been taken from my donor area . I start to notice my donor area looks thinner at some areas is it possible thats my doctor over harvesting some areas I'm abit worried it will be permanent and will effect the looks of the back oh my head in the future
Answer: FUE harvesting above 2500 to 3000 grafts may appear as donor depletion when you keep your hair short. FUE harvesting above 2500 to 3000 grafts may appear as donor depletion when you keep your hair short.

Answer: Over harvested donor area in fue If FUE is not properly planned it will end up in overly harvested donor area...but you have to wait for at least 12 to 16 weeks to comment....usually 2500 grafts extraction is the safe nomber as per guideline if the right small size punch is used...if the punch size is more than 1 mm than you might get some noticeable scarring and thining

Answer: Is my donor site ruined after FUE transplant? After 10 days, it is difficult to tell what your donor site will looks like once it has completely healed. I usually try to spread the graft removal over the entire donor area, rather than limiting it to the back of the head, no matter what size FUE I'm doing. I would suggest waiting a few months and then visiting your doctor to discuss your concerns. Likely the donor will look much better at this point. If there is over harvesting, about the only option is Scalp Micropigentation,Dr. Robert Jones

Answer: Too early to tell At 10 days, you will just need to stay patient and see if the hair in the donor grows back as it should. 2500 grafts is a "borderline" safe amount to harvest, so it should be fine.

Answer: Donor site depletion The donor area has been significantly impacted by the FUE suggesting that your original donor density was significantly less than average, Your doctor should have measured this prior to doing FUE. If the donor area remains see-through, you should get Scalp Micropigmentation to resolve the missing spaces as this is the only solution for this problem. Certainly, long hair will help.
