İt is good to wait at least for 2 months before start taking viviscal. Before you do get in touch with your doctor and get his approval.
A good rule I tell patients is that you can start topicals after 3 weeks from your procedure. My feeling is that it is better to be safe than sorry, since this is a big time and money investment.
I respectfully disagree with the last answer to this important question. Vitamins can very well cause anti-coagulation or blood thinning. This could be a potential problem for hair restoration surgery in terms of excessive bleeding. In fact I don't know of any reputable clinic that does not address vitamin supplements, alcohol, or other medications that could cause problems.
Dear ADJ83,Thank you for writing in with this question. Viviscal vitamins are just that: vitamins. You can take them prior to your FUE surgery, on the day of your FUE surgery, and daily thereafter. Taking the vitamins designed to combat hair loss can be done at any time. You can take them as soon as you notice hair loss on your scalp. An FUE procedure has no bearing on whether you should take vitamins or not.I hope this information is helpful to you.Kind Regards,Ken Anderson, MD, FISHRS
I generally recommend about 2 weeks after surgery before resuming scalp based hair treatments. I know of now difficulties with viviscal use after FUE.
You can use viviscal after FUE within a couple of week. There should be no impact on the new grafts for this use
