Kinked hairs post FUE (Photo)

Question

I had a 3000 graft fue 6 weeks ago, when the hairs started shedding about 3 weeks after my FUE I noticed many of them where kinked almost double at the root. Im worried that this means theu were incorrectly placed and bent on the way in. Is this possible ot am i worrying about nothing?

Transplanted hair sheds after the operation and after the shedding it grows permanently. Do not worry it is very normal.

It is normal to lose transplanted hairs days to weeks after surgery.  It may take 6 to 12 months to see new hairs grow out.The kinked or "J" shaped grafts may be a technical issue.

Yes, you are correct they are poorly placed graft which are kinked upon placement.  It is hard to tell whether they will grow. So you will have to wait for your hair transplant to grow out.

Kinky hairs are the sign of poor hair transplant technique ...Keep using minoxidil 5% along with propecia to get a better outcome

That is concerning and is indicative of poor graft handling and placement technique. You will need to wait for 10-12 months to assess post operative growth.

These are called J hairs and they reflect a poorly placed graft. You won't know if they will grow until 6-8 months from the day of surgery
