My boobs and I have been through a lot. Between 2020-2022 I gained 100lbs. Since New Years I've lost 50 of those lbs. I plan to lose 30-40 more lbs. I fear this will do them in and they'll finally give up. They've held up pretty well, but I have certainly lost upper pole fullness and my areolas have stretched and feathered. I am uncomfortable with anchor or lollipop scars. Under breast alone is fine. If I am a candidate for periareolar, will my areolas look weird because of their feathering?

Answer: Is any type of areola incision BA (lift or implants) a good fit for me? Based on photos - it appears that you would benefit from a Extended Mastopexy w/possible reduction- to rejuvenate your breasts. I do not believe that anything shorter than that can deliver satisfactory result. I suggest that you seek an experienced Board Certified PS and discuss your options during in person exam

Answer: Considering options From your photos you will need to consider a full lift for a good outcome. As part of this procedure your areola can be downsized to better match the rest of the breast. A periareolar lift will not be adequate for you. See a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.

Answer: Lift is good. Implants only make the breast bigger, if desired. Implants do no lifting. I recommend an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and be measured. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements and they choose what looks right for them. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what size and style breast implant is right for them. Dr. Ted Eisenberg, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author.
