I had my procedure and didn’t receive my device card. Finally received it after waiting weeks for it. On my card it shows an expiration date. 2027…. Can someone explain? I tried calling the manufacturer but the company has gotten bought out by another company and they dont have that information. I’m also waiting to hear from the Dr’s office to let me know what that means but it can be another 2weeks.

Answer: Your implants are not expired… That date in the box is the date by which the implants are considered sterile in their container. There is no expiration date in any breast implant and although warrantied for a lifetime, breat implants may need to be replaced at some point either due to wear and tear, or other changes in the patient’s breasts which may warrant revision surgery. Please consult with your plastic surgeon or the manufacturer of your implants for further questions or concerns.

Answer: Date The expiration date is the date the sterilization of the implants in their box expires, and has nothing to do with the implants now inside your body. All sterilized medical devices and equipment are dated to know when the sterilization process is potentially no longer sterile. Don't concern yourself with that date.
