My left breast is 2 inches bigger than the right one. What can I do about this?

It is very common for the breasts to be different in size and shape. It is actually abnormal for the breasts to be perfectly symmetrical. If this issue bothers you, however, cosmetic breast surgery can be performed to decrease asymmetry. An implant can be placed in the smaller breast to match the size of the larger one, or a reduction can be performed on the larger one to match the size of the smaller one. You may want to consider waiting a couple of years, however, since your breasts may still be developing and the asymmetry may correct itself on its own.

Asymmetry of the breasts occurs for almost everyone to some degree. Fortunately there are ways to improve it. You can elect to reduce the size of the larger breast to better match the smaller. Or you can elect to add volume to the smaller to better match the larger. If one breast sags lower a breast lift may also be recommended. You do not have a disease. Your breasts are not identical twins, but sisters, and about 15% of women have at least one cup size difference, sometimes more, between their breasts. What can be done is based on which, if either, size you prefer. You can have an augmentation of reduction to make them more even. Breast asymmetry (size and shape) is extremely common. It has been noted in the literature that breasts are more like sisters rather than twins.
If the asymmetry is significant, surgical adjustments can be made to enlarge the smaller breast (breast augmentation) or reduce the size of the larger breast (breast reduction) or a combination of both. Asymmetry of shape can be corrected as well.
