I'm 22 and relatively thin however after I had my baby my belly button has saggy, wrinkly skin and I have stretch marks all over my lower stomach and some loose skin. Is a tummy tuck the only way to correct these issues?
Answer: 22 With Wrinkly Skin Thanks for your question! It’s hard to accurately answer this question without the benefit of your photos, but I’d say that in my experience of doing thousands of body contouring surgeries, if you have a lot of excess & “wrinkly” skin, you probably need a tummy tuck. Best of luck to you!

Answer: Tummy Tuck Thank you for your question. Without photos and a physical examination it is difficult to give any recommendations. Tummy Tuck surgery aims to create an abdominal profile that is smooth and firm by removing excess fat and skin. Stretch marks below the belly button can be removed at this time as well .I strongly recommend seeing a board certified plastic surgeon to determine if you are a candidate and which procedure is right for you.

Answer: Tummy tuck Hi, you have several options to treat abdominal skin. A tummy tuck is typically the best option when there is loose skin. It is recommended to perform this type of surgery after you are finished having children to prevent recurrence with pregnancy. It is always best to have this question answered after an office consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck.Dr. E Wright

Answer: I'm 22 and have saggy, wrinkly skin with stretch marks all over my lower stomach. Is a tummy tuck my only option? You probably need some sort of skin removal to be happy, but this really depends upon your expectations and your plans to birth additional children. The amount of skin removal in TT depends upon the surgeon's technique and the patient's tissue characteristics. A great deal of skin above the belly button may be removed in some patients with a lower belly button or a great deal of skin laxity. BodyTite is a non-excisional device that utilizes radio-frequency assisted lipolysis (RFAL) to address the shortcomings often associated with traditional liposuction or surgical body and face lifts, including sagging or wrinkly skin and scarring, by inserting a wand under the skin to coagulate inside while tightening the skin on top. BodyTite does not remove any fat, but it is capable of producing a 45% contraction in tissues. Schedule an in-office consultation with a board certified PS who performs BodyTite and obtain his/her opinion. If BodyTite is not the best option; a small scar TT could be considered. Answer: Saggy skin with stretch marks Great question! Unfortunately the best and only real way to remove extra saggy skin is to cut it out - which will involve a scar. Stretch marks are dermal scarring that will never go away unfortunately. You can do lasers to help decrease the appearance of stretch marks, but they are generally not very effective. There are radio frequency (non-invasive) devices that can tighten the skin, but again, this is very hit or miss and depends on how much loosens you have. Therefore, a tummy tuck is basically the only way to tighten your abdomen while removing some of our stretch marks. However, it is best to wait until after you finish having all your children before having this procedure performed, otherwise this issue will happen again with your next pregnancy.Best of luck and hope this information helps!- Dr. Roger Tsai @DrRogerTsai Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
