Had Forehead Reduction, forehead too low, now what?

Question

Had forehead lowered with brow lift. Now my forehead is too low only 4.5 cms. Now what can I do? It was done at the hairline. May need hair transplant to cover scar.

So this would require a forehead lift to raise hairline.  are your brow at a good location, too low?, too high?  The laxity of the forehead tissue is also important.  Please see someone with experience for an evaluationBestDr. Massry

Forehead too low after forehead lift can be corrected by raising it up  IF the scalp is loose. Otherwise tissue expansion of the forehead is needed as described in our textbook 25 years ago. I need to see photos and examine this to give a better answer

Unfortunately it is not likely to be able to lengthen the forehead skin by stretching it backwards again without further lifting of the brows. A tissue expander placed in the forehead for a few weeks can create some extra skin that will permit the frontal hairline to be moved back afterwards without undue lifting of the brows. You probably only need to get to 5.0 to 5.5 cms to have an acceptable forehead length. The pretrichial scar can be revised at the same time and is likely to have a better result with less tension on it than that of the original surgery.

This problem can always be fixed by expanding the forehead for 3-4 weeks and perform the reverse of the hairline lowering operation. If there is still some laxity of the forehead, sometimes a simpler one stage operation could work. A properly done trichophytic incision and closure should obviate the need for hair transplants.since a browlift was done, the expansion scenario seems the more likely one.  See someone who has had experience with this type of situation.
