Im a 24 year old woman. My forehead is 8cm and has always had an impact on my mentalhealth. I cannot go outdoors without wearing a hat. I have tried a fringe/bangs, but I dislike the hairstyle. I can only find great before and after photos from surgeons that are too far (USA etc ). I need a surgeon closer to home - UK (ideally) or Europe. Bonus if they can do a small hair transplant too for my temples, as my forehead is extremely wide too. But overall, I do want my forehead reduced with surgery.
Im considering forehead reduction surgery and would appreciate thoughts on whether Im a good candidate based on my current appearance . Im looking for gentle, constructive feedback only.or if the procedure is unnecessary as I have heard conflicting opinions if I should pursue it or not.
These highly recessed temples are not a result of hair loss, it is genetic, I was born this way. I have very fine, thin curly hair, so I am not overly keen to have a huge chunk shaved from the back, as I would practically have no hair left. Is there anyway a transplant can be done without having to take so much hair away from the rest of the head? As for a hairline lowering procedure, would it be possible to lower the recessed temples without lowering too much of the centre of the hairline? I feel lowered too much from the centre might not suit my facial shape, giving me a bit of an uncanny wearing a hat looking appearance. Which procedure overall do you think would be worth the risk to achieve a natural looking result?
Hello, I am a 28 white F 145 pounds and 5'4. Does the hairline have to be lowered in forehead reduction surgery? Or can the size simply be reduced by removing skin or something? I am afraid to have my hairline lowered because i am losing a lot of hair and it is gone near my temples where it used to be so im afraid if a doctor tries to lower my hairline, hair may start to grow back where it is currently missing and the doctir will not know this since it is not there
I previously had a hairline reduction 4 years ago and not much lowering was achieved. Im wondering if Im a good candidate for another one and how far it can be lowered. I was wanting an inch but if that cant be obtained at least half an inch. I dont feel like I can move my scalp around very much.
2 years ago I underwent forehead reduction in London. My wound was raised from the start and the guy who took my stitches out look concerned but didn't mention it. A month went by and I realized that it would stay, when I tried to contact my surgeon he wouldn't answer. A year later I did a hair transplant in hopes of covering it but it just made me more aware of how bad the scar really was. My question is how I should go about fixing this? I've scheduled a second hair transplant to go even lower and to add more density around the scar in hopes of covering it but you can still feel it very clearly and I fear that more hair up front will be disproportionate to the rest of my scalp. could I do a second reduction to remove the scar without killing the hair grafts that have been planted onto it?
Hello doctors, Can I raise/elevate my hairline with a balloon tissue expander underneath my forehead skin with an endoscopic forehead lift approach or do I have to do the traditional hairline opening approach? Id like to reverse a hairline lowering surgery that was over reduced. My forehead skin is very tight and I would like to get 1.5 cm of hairline elevation in the center of my forehead to make it rounded and feminine again. What are my options & where does the expander get inserted from?
63 year old in good health has had previous coronal brow lift which left a well healed scar across my crown. I was advised against direct forehead reduction surgery because of the previous scar and risk of low blood flow. I also have very think skin on forehead and scalp making me not a good candidate for hair transplant. I have been suggested to undergo fat graft to the forehead and scalp prior to attempting hair transplant but even that has a low success rate and I looking to explore options
