I am 19 years old and I have fairly huge J CUP breasts, yes J. My breasts hang really low for a teenager and its been that way for as long as I can remember. They have passed the stage of sagging, they hang and they're almost at my belly button. I'm 5'7 so that's a fairly long torso. I'd like to know if getting a breast lift would work for me and if its recommended. I don't know where else to go or who else to ask. PLEASE HELP.
Answer: Breast lift Based on your description it sound like you will benefit from a breast lift with no implant, an in person consultation would be best for a detailed exam and evaluation.always see a board certified PS.

Answer: Breast Lift Techniques, Incisions and Scarring Hi TheGirl174, Generally speaking, if the nipples are lower than the inframammary line the patient will most likely need a breast lift. If the nipples are at or above the inframammary line we can generally get by with just breast augmentation depending on the size of the implant the patient wants. I often use an implant when I perform a breast lift because it provides more upper breast fullness after the lift. Breast lift surgery aims to re-volumize the breast with either and natural implant or fat grafting followed by nipple repositioning using the lift. I prefer to use a vertical incision (lollipop pattern) breast reduction technique instead of the anchor scar pattern for more significant lifts. This reduces more noticeable scarring than usual. Mastopexy that requires less than 2cm of lift only needs a donut incision. Every incision is also closed in five precise layers without using reactive sutures that can cause inflammation and eventual scarring. If you are considering a breast lift, you should consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options and make sure your surgeon understands your goals. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Breast lift/reduction Hello and thank you for your question. The best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation. Based on your description, you may be a candidate for a breast lift/reduction. This decision should be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you and your surgeon. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. FACS Harvard-trained plastic surgeon

Answer: Breast Lift Hi Thank you for your question. It would be helpful if you could upload some pictures of your breasts. But as you describe your current situation a breast reduction and lift would most likely be the right procedure for you. I recommend you to consult with a certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon. Kind regards Dr Marco Carmona MD
