I had an otoplasty when I was around 7 years old, I'm now 19. The way it healed around the top back of my ears left very sensitive skin "bridges" of what I assume is scar tissue. This makes it very painful to wear sunglasses and masks, but I'm most concerned about glasses since my vision is worsening and I'll probably end up needing some soon. I tried my best to take a photo but you can only see the more prominent "bridges." Also ignore the crust behind my ears, the pain makes it hard to clean.
