I have left over loose skin when sitting down and my doctor reccomended removing the skin under local anesthesia. How common is this and is it safe? What are the risks?

Answer: Surgery Hello dear, thanks for your question and provided information as well. that always will depend on how much work needs to be done in each patient, if its skin removal that will be alright.. another area can be done with epidural with sedation or general anesthesia

Answer: Scar revision? Would the procedure be a revision of a previous tummy tuck? If that is the case, it should practically be little more than a scar revision, and pretty safe to do under local. A couple of pictures would have been helpful, though.
