Can large implants stretch & correct armpit fat/axillary breast tissue? (Photos)

No implant of any size will get rid of this fat. Fortunately a little liposuction will resolve it. This is a very common place that I have treated many times, as recently as twice last week. If you are planning a breast augmentation, choose a proper size implant for you needs and have a little lipo at the same time. Good luck.

It may reduce the prominence of the area but there is no guarantee. For a more predictable improvement, liposuction is a more suitable option.

A carefully chosen implant can soften transitions at the boundaries of the breast. However, the implant pocket (space created for the implant) must not extend beyond your breast boundaries. If the pocket is too big, the implant will be at risk of malposition (resting to the side or below your breast) which makes the breast look unnatural. Large implants rarely disguise underarm fat and when they do, it is usually temporary because the implant drop away from the underarm area within a few months of augmentation. Liposuction or direct excision of excess tissue is sometimes necessary to achieve the desired result.

Large implants will not solve your problem. You will need the armpit areas liposucted or the skin excised surgically. However, if you do a breast lift then this area can be incorporated into the breast, depending on the technique used.

Yes large implants can help mask that area and fill the groove- and the other option is to use liposuction to debulk the area- it's a pretty common procedure in my practice- probably 3-4 times a month I will address this area.

In my experience, Vaser ultrasound liposuction works very nicely for axillary breast and fat of the lateral chest/arm pit area. It decreases the thickness and helps tighten skin.

This complements breast augmentation by reducing skin and fat that protrudes from the bra. It can easily be combined with breast augmentation as a single surgery.

An exam and consultation with a plastic surgeon who performs these procedures is recommended to confirm you are a candidate as well as discuss your options and expectations.

Yes, in general breast implants will help with the front bra rolls in the axilla, but most patients with stubborn fat there would also benefit from liposuction as well. A combination approach will result in the optimum outcome. Good luck!

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Breast implants won't help with axillary breast tissue. You might need excision of glandular tissue. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Large implants wouldn't be recommended for the purpose of "blending" axillary tissue. However the tissue can often be addressed with liposuction to improve the overall contour.
