6 weeks post op, why are my nipples still puffy? (photos)

It is very common to have nipple swelling when you have a nipple incision. I would give it a full 3 months to heal to allow swelling to subside and the implants to settle further. You should address your concerns with your plastic surgeon. 

Thank you for your pictures.  Your augmentation looks very nice.  The areola is a bit puffy but this should settle down nicely over the next 6-8 weeks.

Hard to give good advice without a pre op photo. Overall your breasts look very good. The nipples are a little puffy, But might be a big improvement over pre op. If you had true tuberous breasts you have a great result. If the puffy does not settle down you can always have a small revision.

Overall your breasts look very nice, and the implants are well positioned.  With a periareolar incision and correction of a tuberous breast deformity, it is common to look puffy while the breasts are still swollen. I would wait several months.  Some patients benefit from a second periareolar correction which can easily be done in the office, because part of the problem with tuberous breasts are puffy breast tissue around the areola, which cannot always be completely corrected with one procedure.  I would be patient and see how things progress. 

"Puffy nipples" can persist for several weeks/months after breast augmentation and are often a part of tuberous breast deformity.  I would give things a full 3 months after surgery to settle down.  If you are still concerned, discuss it with your PS.

Very good question.  You are still early in your healing phase so be patient.  The breast often change from week to week and month to month.  It would be nice to evaluate your pre op photos for comparison as well.  It is not uncommon to have pouty nipple/areolas post op when dealing with tuberous breasts.  Give them time and express your concern with your surgeon.  Best of luck.Dr. T

The puffy nipple is a part of the tuberous breast and your correction might be better than before, yet some of the tuberous characteristic is likely to remain. You are only six weeks and you might get even more improvement as the skin envelope relaxes.

Appears as a very very good early result as seen in posted photos. But no befores to compare??? Good Luck to you..
