I lost 70 pounds, and kept it off for over 2 years now. I currently weigh 125 and I'm 5'3. No matter how much I work out or eat right I can't seem to get rid of my stubborn lower belly fat. Im fine with the rest of my body, its just that one area that really frustrates me. Will liposuction get rid of it? And which kind of lipo would be the best. I don't think I would need a tummy tuck.
Answer: Liposuction Hi there,From your photos you don't look like you need much done. The stubborn areas are the perfect spots for liposuction. Only thing I can't really tell on a photo is the amount of skin laxity you have. It looks good but 70 pounds is a heck of a lot of weight! That can sometimes affect skin elasticity which is crucial for liposuction success. Good luck with it. You should be really pleased with the result. Any surgeon would be very pleased to have you as a patient. Just make sure you go to someone with experience and really I would strongly suggest a plastic surgeon. Although it sounds straight forward, there is an art to successful liposuction. Dr Rodger Shortt Oakville Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Congratulation on your weight loss! Liposuction may work. You would need to be examined by an experienced surgeon to determine whether you have any loss of skin elasticity from your weight gain and then loss. If not, you would be an ideal candidate for liposuction. For example if you have any stretch marks in that area then you probably won't be a candidate for liposuction alone.

Answer: Stubborn Fat Liposuction excels at accomplishing this. The most important implication is how much skin laxity you will have. Sometimes excision of some lower abdominal skin is necessary for a good youthful result. This would be determined at your consultation.
