I got my Liposuction a week ago and all of the sudden it started to itch why is that is it a good sign?

Another reason for itching is the release of histamine that naturally happens as a result of wound healing.  If the itching is bothersome, you might find that taking an antihistamine (benadryl, claritin, etc.) might give you some relief.Of course, make sure there isn't another reason for the itching first.  Do you have any visible rash on the skin?  Any redness or fever?  If so, please let your surgeon know.

itching after surgery represents healing nerves.  As nerves heal after surgery, they fire randomly and can that can be felt s itching, pins and needles, electric shocks etc.
