Ugly Ankle fat pads. Does anyone have a solution? (Photo)

Question

I started getting ugly ankle fat pads a couple of years ago, no related trauma; they seem to be getting bigger, fortunately I don't have pain but my legs do feel somewhat "tired" along the lateral aspect of my shins. I've seen a few doctors but NO ONE seems to know what to do. They are very unsightly and the deformity makes me very self conscious to the point that I have stopped wearing clothes that show my ankles. Does anyone have a solution?

Thanks for your inquiry and excellent pictures.  Though liposuction can be used to help, it is one of those areas that expectations are hard to meet because the shape of the underlying muscle and bony anatomy affects the results so much.  Please seek the advise of a board certified plastic surgeon with a large experience with liposuction to the ankle who can set the right expectation with you.   Good Luck.

If the bulges you show are fat, then a microliposuction of that area can make the difference you are looking for. Find a board certified plastic surgeon in your area with experience with microliposuction.Good luck!
