Thanks for your question. At 2 months post-operation, you should be fine to do abdominal exercises but be sure to listen to your body. A small amount of discomfort is normal, but any degree more than that you should be cautious. Always communicate with your surgeon for his/her post-operative protocol. All the best,Dr. ResultsMiami, FL
You should ask your surgeon for his or her specific instructions for you, but in general I instruct my patients they may begin sit-ups and crunches 6 weeks after surgery, and to ease into their former level of activity. If patients notice pain when starting, I instruct them to back off a bit and take it slowly. At 8 weeks the repair is pretty strong. There are different techniques of repair, so you want to ask your actual surgeon this question as well just to be safe.

After two months the repair should be able to withstand any exercise. There may be some discomfort with exercise but it should not cause any damage to the repair.
Thank you for the question. In general, it would take a significant amount of pressure to “disrupt" the muscle repair after tummy tuck surgery. This event would likely be associated with significant discomfort. A change in your physical examination, such as increased swelling, bleeding, a new o...
Very sorry this happened to you but it is a risk when there are other scars on the abdomen. This will likely heal in a few weeks and may need a revision after a few months.
Hello Hope. Yes, the drain is at risk of pulling out - now that the suture holding it in place is not longer functioning. However, if you're careful it should not fall out - unless it is pulled with significant force. If still concerned call your PS. Best, Dr. ALDO
