Does injector needs to change the needle after each single injection?

Question

I got my lips done and injector done my lips injection with only one needle. As we know lip filler injections needs multiple injection per different site. Does injector needs to change the needle after each single injection? Because for different vaccine or IM injections they do. Is it the same ?? I am so happy of the result, no bruises, great shape.

Dear Rachel raheleh,Thank you for your question. Although it is not required to change the needle in between injections. Sometimes the injector switches them throughout, but this is primarily just because it is less uncomfortable when the needle is not dull. Best of luck to you!

There is no need to change needles with each injection when done for one area. Sometimes after a few injections the needle can become dull at which time a needle change maybe needed.

This is entirely the preference of the injector, and there is no right answer.  However, I do prefer to change needles frequently.  After a few sticks the needles become dull which can lead to more discomfort as well as more tissue trauma (leading to bruising and swelling).  I do this with fillers but also with Dysport or Botox injections.

Needles need only be changed when it is dull, to aid in patient comfort. Changing is not always necessary.
