There are risks involved with anything in life. The main risks of filler injections are swelling, bruising, infection, and reactions to the filler, and unwanted/unnatural results. These can all be minimized in the hands of an experienced injector. I use cannulas for the jawline area most often to minimize the risks. Make sure you are under the care of an experienced physician provider. Best wishes.
Dear mina777,Thank you for your question. Blindness is always a possible rare complication associated with filler injection to any area if the filler product gets into an artery and travels to the retinal artery. There is a higher risk of blindness with cases reported associated with filler to the nose and glabella. I recommend you seek an in-person consultation with an experienced facial plastic surgeon or plastic surgeon injector who takes the risks of filler seriously and can discuss with you the precautions they take to minimize these risks.
