I think my surgeon took too much off the bridge. Can it be corrected?

I am 1 year post op and still very very swollen but my nose looks like too much was removed from the bridge. One nostril is also way higher that the other. He put a strut graft in for reference. What can be done to correct all this?

Thank you for your question. It’s difficult to determine based on your photos , but what you explain can be corrected. Depending on how much septal cartilage is left over , we may have to use cartilage from your ear. I recommend consulting with  a board certified plastic surgeon in your area who is comfortable with secondary rhinoplasty. Best of luck.

A better set of facial photographs going to be required to make an determination about how to proceed, since revision rhinoplasty is more difficult than a primary rhinoplasty.  An in-person examination is also going to be required.The bridge line of the nose can be built up with cartilage grafting techniques. It's important to know how much cartilage is left over on the inside of the nose for potential grafting purposes. For more information about revision rhinoplasty, please see the link

I understand what you are saying.  Based on the limited views, I do feel that it is repairable.  More views would be helpful.  I would seek the opinion of a revision rhino specialist.  In such cases a physical exam and real -life exam is far more worthwhile than pics.In Toronto - you have Peter Adamson
