Dog hit my nose after rhino and septoplasty. Will I need another surgery? (Photo)

My dog hit my nose after septoplasty/ and rhino on my third week of healing. I bleed immediately for 10 mins and went to emergency. I was told there was no fracture or break but my nose now has a big lump underneath and has a bump exactly where I got it removed. It is no longer smooth but lumpy and looks awful even under the skin. Will I need another surgery? My surgeon told me it was fine but it looks completely different.

Hello, thank you for sharing your question and photos. I'm sorry you've experienced this. You're still very early in the recovery process after your rhinoplasty, full healing can take over a year. In my experience, it's best to wait until surgical swelling and trauma swelling has reduced more. You might be fine and not need revision rhinoplasty. Please be sure to make all of your follow up visits with your plastic surgeon. Good luck!

Since it's only been three weeks after your rhinoplasty and septoplasty procedure in addition to the trauma, the nose is very swollen so it's impossible to make any determination about whether the noses dislocated / crooked or not. Best to wait a couple of months and that to make a final determination once the swelling has subsided
