Obviously once cartilage is cut out it is gone. I have watched videos of this maneuver done on YouTube. My question is can ear cartilage that is curved be used to replace where cartilage was trimmed? Can cadaver cartilage from a nose be used for this where the lateral crura was trimmed? Would it look fake? My nose tip was narrowed, I want my dorsal hump restored and bulbous round tip restored. I know I need an elite revision surgeon and in person consult. I want my old nose restored as best possible

Answer: Restoring your nose to its original appearance
It is possible that cartilage grafts can fill in these defects. Be sure to consult a surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery who has enough experience to be able to show you a comprehensive portfolio of pre- and post-op photos.
If there is persistent nasal swelling in the bridge area just above the nasal tip (supratip), dilute steroid injections may be helpful. When needed, we typically start with Kenalog 2.5-10mg/cc, and reassess 3-4 weeks later. Wishing you well. Dr Joseph
