Revision concern. Can you see any issues with it?

I had revision 6 months ago with a rib graft and now a lot of the swelling has subsided I am abit concerned about my tip. Feel like I have no columella? Can you see any issues with it?

Closed rhinoplasty is an excellent method for some revision surgeries. Closed rhinoplasty is practiced by only a few experienced and skilled rhinoplasty surgeons. In your particular case, you should consider allowing more time for things to settle, as you could very well end up liking your result.

Ear cartilage is often used to rebuilt lateral tip cartilage that has been over resected during primary rhinoplasty. If done well by an experienced surgeon it should look very natural.

How long does it take for steroid shots to work post rhinoplasty?

If there is persistent nasal swelling in the bridge area just above the nasal tip (supratip), dilute steroid injections may be helpful. When needed, we typically start with Kenalog 2.5-10mg/cc, and reassess 3-4 weeks later. Wishing you well. Dr Joseph

Microdroplet Silikon-1000 may be considered as an alternative to alar batten grafts, or alar rim grafts for improving the appearance of the indentation in your nose after surgery. We try to leave revision surgery as a last resort. Thank you. Dr Joseph
