I appreciate your question. It depends on the schedule and how long it takes to get medical clearance. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative plastic surgery.best of luck!Dr Schwartz
Thank you for your question about tummy tuck. The wait time after a tummy tuck consultation depends on how busy the surgeon is and if he or she has available block time to perform the surgery. To be sure, see two or more experienced, board-certified Plastic Surgeons for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have a tummy tuck or related procedure.I hope this helps.
The time from consultation to surgery depends on two factors: your surgeon's availability, and your medical suitability. Before you can have surgery, your surgeon may or may not require that you complete pre-surgery bloodwork, get your complete history and any specialist letters etc to evaluate your health status. When it comes to the surgeon availability, this is highly variable and depends on how much OR time the surgeon has. Most surgeons do not have their own surgical facility and are limited by their hospital or private facility where they rent space. Others, who have their own OR tend to be able to accommodate patients in quicker. In our facility, for example, I am more than happy to add a case and stay a little longer if a patient has a particular date that they want to squeeze in. This is not something I can do at the hospital where once 3:30 comes, I have to stop or they cancel my cases. So in my situation, for example, I am able to accommodate a patient within no later than 1 month, while for the hospital we are booking 7 months ahead.I hope this helps
This is largely dependent on how busy the office is. There also might be some delays if medical clearance is necessaryprior to surgery. This timeframe might vary depending on the time of year as well.
It really depends on the surgeon's availability and the availability of the OR that your procedure will be done in. Most busy places will be booking at least 4-6 weeks in advance. Hope that helps!
Thanks for this question. The time from consultation to surgery really depends on you and how busy the office is. In essence it should always be at a time that is convenient for you. The other limiting time is the Surgeon's availability and that varies from office to office as well as the time of the year.
The wait time between consultation and surgery will vary significantly from office to office. Make sure you address this with the surgeon/office you are interested in.
This will depend on a few things. If you need any medical clearance, that will have to occur first. Secondly, depending on how booked out your plastic surgeon is and the time of year. Most patients plan their procedure months in advance such that they can arrange for time off work or help with the children. This allows the plastic surgeon to work with their time frame. I would not recommend trying to find the plastic surgeon who can do your case next week... All the best.
This is dependent upon your surgeons schedule and the hospital schedule. It can vary from season to season as well.
Every surgeon and practice is going to have different wait times between the consultation and the actual surgery. Some surgeons may be able to do it next week while for others it may not be for months.
Lots of people travel for surgery, have uneventful recoveries, and are happy with their results. Then there are the patients who develop problems and have no surgeon to help take care of them. We have all had patients calling us suffering with major complications looking for a...
