4 days post Tummy Tuck and lipo of flanks- my new belly button looks sunk in. Any suggestions? (photos)

Question

Is that all swelling or fat around my BB that is causing it to sink in ? Will it get flat and not look like a cushion with a button in the middle ?have u se this in your practice ?did it get flatter and look like a normal not a sunk in bb. I posted a before pic also and I had a sunk in one cz of the excess fat but now with TT I assume everything is tightened ?

Thank you for the photos.  It is really difficult to tell but what would concern me is the significant swelling and bruising that you have.  In my tummy tuck patients this is not the norm and I would want to rule out a hematoma or blood that has pooled under the tummy tuck flap.The best thing you can do is to get in touch with your surgeon and be evaluated and express your concerns to he/she.Good luck.

Thank you for your question and photos.   I agree that you are too early in the healing process to determine how much is swelling versus fatty tissue.   I would recommend good compression at all times and close follow up with your plastic surgeon to ensure there is no fluid collection or healing issues. At just 4 days post op, it is still quite early in the healing process and the appearance of your belly button may change significantly.  You do have swelling around the area which should improve over the coming weeks.  However, I agree with Dr. Esmailian, I am a little concerned about the bruising and amount of swelling around your belly button and would have your surgeon examine this area at your earliest convenience.
