Most women on my mom's side of the family have inverted nipples, and I had the misfortune of inheriting them as well. I would like mine corrected. My mother advised me not to when I was younger because of breastfeeding, but I'm 25 years old and about 98% sure I don't want children anyway. Is it true that I definitely won't be able to breastfeed if I have the surgery? Should I wait a couple more years to be sure, or just do it now?

There are different degrees of inverted nipples. Successful treatment depends on the severity. I'm not really aware of anything you can do at home that will really correct them. I have seen patients who have even tried piercings, which also don't really work well.
From the photograph you have kindly provided, the nipple inversion is minimal. This is completely normal and I would advice that you leave matters alone. Any surgical intervention in that area can lead to scarring and loss of nipple sensation. It can also impact on future breast feeding...
Thank you for your question. Inverted nipples is common, and can be corrected with a small procedure. See a board certified plastic surgeon for an in-person examination to correctly diagnose what is taking place.
