Two weeks is too early for a real capsule to form. Most likely, one breast is simply different, and/or is healing differently than the other. Additionally, you mentioned that you had different sized implants placed (was this to correct a pre-existing asymmetry?) "Bigger and higher" are important to note….but at two weeks post-op these things alone aren't necessarily predictive of your final result. If you had early pain out of proportion, I might be concerned about a hematoma, but I doubt this is the case with you--two weeks is late, and you would complain of more pain and firmness than you have. None of this rules out the possibility of a capsule eventually forming….but I also think 2 weeks is too early to judge. I am glad to hear that you know what a capsule is, because every breast augmentation patient should know about this risk. Ultimately, the best way to assess a capsule is by physical examination, and hopefully you will be due for follow-up soon anyways. The overall message is that 2 weeks is far to early to assess your final results. Wait for 3 months to judge, and wait 6 months to make your final assessment. Healing after breast aug is a dynamic process, be patient.
