Your profile photo shows a nose that might be slightly bigger than ideal but it's certainly well within the normal range. If you have already grown (over 18 years), then you can look into rhionplasty procedure if you wish to change and improve your nose. Without an exam, it will not be possible to fully evaluate you and give you recommendations. Be sure to discuss your goals and concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon and consider the pros and the cons. Be certain your surgeon is properly certified. I've attached a link where you can start your search.
Hi Alexis, thank you for your question and photo. Your face will not grow into your nose. Your nose and jaws should stop growing around 15-16 years old in girls on average. I think you would benefit from chin augmentation to decrease the appearance of the size of your nose and give you a more harmonious relationship of your nose to your face.I recommend you seek an in-person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your goals, examine you, review photos of others that you want to look like, go over virtual simulations, and show you many before/after pictures to give you a better idea of what type of result you can expect to get. Good luck!
Hello and thank you for your question. Thebest advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation. Based onyour photographs, I think a chin augmentation may also help balance your face in addition to your concerns about your nose. Make sure you specifically lookat before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgeryperformed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The mostimportant aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommendthat you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon whocan evaluate you in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Reish, M.D.Harvard-trained plastic surgeon
Your profile photo may reveal a somewhat weak chin appearance, and an acute nose-lip angle. I do not think your face will grow into your nose. If you have severe dissatisfaction with your nasal appearance, consider consulting with several reputable rhinoplasty specialists so you could see what might be best for you moving forward. Thank you.
Unfortunately we don't know your age. For that reason I cannot answer your question. I would think that is the nose you will have. If you are unhappy with your nose, I would recommend going to a board certified plastic or ENT surgeon to be evaluated. I like to find out what bothers the patient. I then examine the nose. I write up a detailed operative plan and review that with the patient. I incorporate the FINNESSE technique which I invented. Bleeding, bruising and pain are minimal when compared to traditional techniques. In fact I had a 21 year old wake up giggling after surgery. I routinely do not pack the nose. I hope you find this information useful. For more information please watch the enclosed video.
From the photo it does look like your nose is the dominant feature our your profile. It is unlikely that your face will grow more after the age of 16-18 (slightly older for boys). Once you aren't buying bigger shoes and aren't growing taller the face doesn't grow much more either. If you are unhappy with your nose, there are surgical options to reduce the size and projection. From your profile, it seems that bringing the chin forward may help bring the face into balance. This can be done with a sliding genioplasty or chin implant. There are risks and benefits to both. Visit with a facial plastic surgeon to learn moreBest of luckDr Rodman
I do not see that your nose appears too big in the profile view. Your chin is a bit short and that may contribute to it.
The nose and the face are both three-dimensional structures, therefore a full set of facial photographs are required to make a determination about rhinoplasty which is also performed in all three dimensions. The one limited photograph demonstrates a slightly over projected nose, and a significant weak and recessive Chin profile. Consider placement of a chin implant to augment the chin forward to help with facial balance and portions, especially from the side profile with the overly projecting nose. Placement of a chin implant will give the illusion that the nose is not as big as it really is. For many examples, please see the link and the video below
Dear Alexis, Nose grows to adult size by 15 years in girls. Facial bones too don't grow after 15 years of age. But face can increase in size with increase in fat or other soft tissue with age or weight gain. You should get a consultation with board certified plastic surgeon if you feel your nose is big, which it does seem in picture.
