Swelling is typical after lip filler. Icing, cold compresses and ibuprofen can give improvement. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase.I hope this helps!
Thank you for your question. It common to have some swelling after filler injections which can take up to 2 weeks to resolve. You can help reduce swelling by applying cold compresses to the treated area(s). It is also advisable to avoid any NSAID’s as they tend to thin the blood and increase bruising and swelling. I recommend having a follow up with your injector to address your concerns. Best of Luck!
It is ok to use ice intermittently on the area. The swelling is common and can persist up to two weeks. Some patients also find the supplement bromelain to be helpful.
Even though you're a bit swollen, you don't need to do anything as swelling will naturally dissipate over the next few days. Good luck from New York City
Swelling takes time to go. In 2 to 4 weeks you should be back to baseline. There is no reliable way to hurry swelling. It just takes time. Cool compresses may help a little but just a little. My Best. Dr George Commons
If you are concerned see your injector, but it takes 2 weeks to really settle in and look normal. Best, Dr. Emer.
People respond differently to lip fillers and the same patient may experience different results in terms of swelling, firmness, lumpiness and bruising at different treatment sessions.Usually I find Juvederm to feel softer than some other fillers, but some firmness takes a while longer to so...
It sounds like you need to switch to a different filler. You may also be noticing the swelling that typically goes away at two weeks. See an expert for long lasting results. Good luck. Dr. Aldo
Yes, you can have lip fillers. I prefer to use a micro cannula to inject the lips to prevent bruising. Look for a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon who is an expert in fillers. I hope this helps.
I suggest seeing an expert if you are concerned after 2 weeks you can reverse the filler or have it comoflaged. Best, Dr. Emer.
Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. Unfortunately after 5 weeks there is little rapid improvement that will take place without dissolving the filler material with hyaluronidase. I would speak with your injector about your concerns to discuss options at treatment.
