Hello, hope you are well. This is a great question with a simple answer: yes! The neck can be lifted through the same incisions as your facelift.Best,Dr. Tower
Yes, absolutely! A deep plane face and neck lift is a great option for improving your neck and jawline without the need for liposuction. This technique can deliver natural, long-lasting results by addressing both the face and neck in one procedure. Here’s how a standard facelift compares to a deep plane face & neck lift:■STANDARD FACELIFT: This mainly focuses on tightening the skin and possibly some light repositioning of the underlying tissues. While it can be effective for mild to moderate sagging, it doesn’t go as deep, so the results might not last as long or look as natural over time.■DEEP PLANE FACE & NECK Lift: This technique lifts and repositions the deeper tissues, like the SMAS layer, which holds the structure of your face. It provides a more comprehensive lift, targeting the cheeks, jawline, and neck. The incisions are placed around the ears and hairline for minimal visibility, and for the neck, a small incision under the chin is often used to tighten neck muscles directly. This approach creates a smooth, youthful appearance for both the face and neck and ensures they age in harmony. It’s important to note that every surgeon has their own techniques and style. I’d recommend researching experienced surgeons and discussing your goals with them to ensure you find the right fit. Hi. Thank you for sharing your inquiry.First, I’d like to mention that surgical diagnoses are typically based on the patient’s symptoms. If your main concern is the neck, it’s essential to evaluate it from two perspectives: sagging and bulky volume under the chin. A Deep Neck Lift might be an effective option for you, and in some cases, Submentoplasty may be necessary to achieve optimal results. When performing a Facelift and Neck Lift, there are overlapping incision areas. With a Neck Lift, the incision extends slightly further behind the ear to address neck sagging and create a smoother jawline. This allows for a more defined and slimmer appearance of the face. For this reason, many patients choose to combine a Neck Lift with a Facelift to achieve comprehensive and harmonious results. The combination not only improves facial contours but also provides a more balanced and rejuvenated overall look. For a more accurate diagnosis and personalized treatment plan, I highly recommend an in-person consultation with a specialist.I hope this response provides some insightThank you.-Dr. Min-Hee Ryu M.DDeep Plane Facelift
Thank you for your question. Contouring the neck may be related to volume excess, laxity in the skin, or the appearance of the platysma muscles, which can form the so-called platysma bands. Each of these three elements requires its own intervention.A facelift procedure can address the skin laxity and will influence and improve the appearance of the neck. However, it will not be able to address significant volume, especially if it is situated deep to the platysma muscles. For someone with relatively low body fat and some laxity under the chin, a short scar deep plane facelift is an adequate correction tool for both facial characteristics and early signs of aging in the neck.
The simple answer is "Yes". A deep plane facelift is the best form of necklift available, addressing the neck anteriorly (under the chin), and laterally (via the facelift incisions). Whether or not this is the best procedure for you would require a consultation and examination.
In our practice, a lower face and neck lift involves tightening loose neck skin, tightening loose neck muscles, and removing any fat deposits in the neck. Performing only a facelift from in front and behind ears will not have any beneficial effect in the neck itself. You should be very clear with your surgeon about what your needs are, and what the surgeon can accomplish. There are many different types of facelift procedures, so it's important to be very specific about your needs
