I am 45 years old. I lost weight and my face thinned and skin loosened. Two months ago I had a fat transfer to inner malar region. Since, I have some looseness in my jaw and marionette lines forming! Would a deep plane facelift be most suitable? I want something long lasting. Is it ok to have a procedure like this when I don't have major signs of aging? Thank you.
Had a deep plane facelift over a year ago. It left asymmetry which resulted in lipo, then an in office revison with fat graft. Sadly, there is still asymmetry and i am hoping this can be improved without further surgery. Would filler help with this? Thanks
I am 60 years old and had a deep plane facelift in March. When I am on video calls, I notice that I still have skin laxity and visible platysmal bands when I am talking or swallowing. If I am not moving, then my neck looks fine except of the horizontal lines that I intend to get treated with filler. Is there a solution for this or is this just normal result? Image 1: Neck at rest Image 2: Neck when swallowing Image 3: Neck tilted to the side. Thanks!
im currently 49, I received sculptra first time Sept 2024. I developed a small eye bag about a month after. my injector told me it was aging. I waited till our next appointment in Jan 2025, and she recommended co2 laser for the eye bag which I didnt do, and she didnt attribute it to anyting she had done.,we did the second round of scupltra, within a month I was assymetrical, very puffy on one side, brow ptosis which im unsure how this happened. and the skin under the bag has hollowed out more. she tells me that there is no way scupltra has done this. I what I want to know is when I can get a deep plane lift. im concerned about I consider it now to be recontructive surgery. im afraid the scupltra will react or the surgery cant be done due to adhesions. can I still get a good result now and how long do I need to wait?
Hi, I'm in my early 40's, I've always had genetically long drooping asymmetrical cheeks since I was I was younger. I have deepening Nasolabial folds in my 40's now that bother me which I have had filler twiice for. I don't have much skin laxity or jowls yet. My primary interest is to raise the actually cheek muscle to a higher position. Would deep plane face lift be best for this then? As I have read although SMAS is less invasive, it only lifts sagging cheek fat. I have gotten differing opinions when I have consulted. One said, I am a candidate for endoscopic mid face lift deep plane approach. Another said endoscopic mid face lift is rarely ever true deep plane and results fall in 1 year, so recommends mini face lift instead. Another recommended full face lift via high smas approach. Can someone tell me which type will be best to raise my drooping long cheek muscles?
I am 66 yrs old and weigh 150 lbs. I have lost 140 lbs. in the last 2.5 years and have sagging skin all over. I would like to start with a facelift. I am healthy, except for severe sleep apnea. The operation is somewhere between 4-6 hours under general anesthesi. My question is will this be safe for me ? Thank you.
Hi doctors, I had a deep plane facelift with fat transfer 10 months ago, and I have three concerns Id love professional opinions on. Ive attached photos to illustrate them. 1. Extra Skin Behind My Earlobes Since the surgery, Ive noticed that the skin behind both ears appears weird. Part of the skin seems attached to the earlobe, while another part is connected to the surrounding skin, creating a fold or step-off effect. Ive never heard of this happening beforeis this normal? Also, can it be fixed? 2. Lack of Fat Transfer in My Eye Area My surgeon did perform fat transfer, but in my view, it wasnt enough in the lower eyelid. When I brought this up, he responded that adding more fat wouldnt look good. However, when I was still swollen, my eyes appeared much betterfuller and more refreshed. Is it accurate that additional fat transfer to this area generally doesnt look good? I feel like some volume there would have improved my results rather than harmed them. Would fat transfer still be an option at this point? 3. Theres a noticeable gap or separation between the hairline and the area behind my earan unnaturally smooth patch of bare neck skin that extends farther up. Is this normal with deep plane facelifts? Id appreciate any insights into whether these are common post-op experiences or if they might require intervention. Thank you in advance for your time and expertise!
I tried laser hair removal but it does not seem to be effective for my facial hair, I am a man, it seems that my beard hair is in some parts a bit stubborn I am looking into electrolysis to remove unwanted hair from my beard My question is: -Would doing electrolysis make a facelift more difficult in the future? Meaning, Could doing electrolysis create any type of injury under the skin that makes a facelift more difficult or it makes it difficult to get good results when performing the surgery? I read that people who use sculptra as a type of filler can make theirs futures facelifts more complicated to achieve good results, I am just wondering if electrolysis could somehow make a facelift difficult to perform or get good results It may seem like a silly question. I just want to make sure that it would not interfere with the surgery results in the future
Hello, I have consulted with double-board certified facial plastic surgeons for a facelift. One, in particular, performs most of his in-office using tumescent anesthesia (TA). This is appealing to me in an effort to avoid gen'l anesthesia. I am eager to hear opinions on TA for deep plane facelift: Pros & cons? What questions should I be asking? Additionally, I am interested in a brow lift as a separate surgery. Is there an ideal order in which I should have them performed. Thank you for your insights.
