Is Juvederm Volbella truly the longest lasting and most advanced lip filler?

Juvederm
Ultra and Juvederm Ultra Plus will most likely last longer than Volbella.
Volbella is less hydrophilic (absorbs water) and will only provide a subtle
lift as where Juvederm Ultra and Juvederm Ultra Plus will give you more volume
in your lips and the change will be much more noticeable. 

Thank you for sharing your excellent question.  Volbella is purported to have a years worth of results to the lip region and provides a nice, natural augmentation due to its thin hyaluronic acid gel consistency.  As it is a  new filler, time will tell, but you may want to consider it or Voluma as your next options. 

Some people respond better to a particular type of filler. Overall any hyaluronic acid should give you your desired result if injected properly. Moreover, the administration of fillers is a highly technical procedure. There are so many factors to consider to determine if you are a good candidate for it, best filler to use, the right amount, injection technique, etc. Please contact a qualified provider or a board-certified physician with extensive experience in these procedures.

Thank you for your message! Unfortunately it is difficult to predict how long patients will hold on to dermal fillers. Our office generally recommends the use of Vollure into the lips as it tends to last a bit longer and give a bit more fullness than Volbella. In terms of lip filler, it is recommended building up the area overtime through the injection of one syringe at a time. You do not want to overwhelm the lips which can increase the risk of complication and lumps! 

Unforunately, there is no way to know how long a filler will last from patient to patient.  Among the Juvederm products, Vollure is the one that is said can last 18 months.  More products are steadily being developed here, and being brought to the US from other countries as well for FDA approval, so there is always the chance that longer lasting products will become available. Currently most products last about a year.
It may be that you best results will come from something like your own fat, or autologous fat grafts.  I suggest this because of the history you have provided.  Fat is your own tissue, and can last far longer that a filler, although it is not without its own risks,  has a longer recovery period, and the amount of "take" from any one procedure can vary quite a bit.

Although the company guidelines have indicated the longevity of Vobella to be about 12 months, I have seen Vobella lasting anywhere between 6-12 months. However for patients such as yourself who metabolize most HA fillers quickly, I can tell you that it most likely will not last as long. It is best for you to try fillers that are a bit thicker than Vobella such as Juvederm ultra, juvederm ultra plus, or Vollure.

The results from Volbella should last about 12 months, but given your history with HA fillers, I doubt that will be the case with you. In general, Volbella on the lips is more about smoothing out the lips so that you look as if you are wearing permanent lip gloss as opposed to adding a lot of volume. Therefore, I pretty certain it won't be the best choice for you.

I am confused? VolBella is short lasting for fine lip lines. It is NOT a great long lasting volumizer filler.

This is a situation that comes up most commonly in those who smoke or participate in lots of high impact exercise and then some unfortunate individuals who just burn any HA that is used even in huge quantities.
I don't think the Volbella will be right for you. Unfortunately I don't think that any product will last as long as it does in most people.
What I have done is used Voluma off label in the lip in well over 200 patients over the last 3 years with no complications.
You MUST go to an expert injector as Voluma in the lip takes very careful handling but can give the patient a bit more longevity and works very well.
