Ruptured breast implants revision - Why would a new pocket be created and placement be over muscle?
My Mentor silicone cohesive gel breast implants ihaveboth ruptured, found by MRI. Implants are 16 y.o., placed under muscle, inframammary incision, 330 cc, have had a small amount of sagging (I’ll be 60 this year, so they match everything else) , but otherwise no issues and my breasts look really nice. The surgeon I’m considering says that a new pocket will be created over muscle with an internal bra (Galaflex). Why would a new pocket be created and placement be over muscle? Is that standard?
