Tiny indent 5-6 years post rhinoplasty. Is this valve collapse? (Photo)

Question

I have a very tiny indent on the right side of my nose. It’s only noticeable in harsh light. I’m not sure how long it has been there. Am I over thinking this or is this Middle Valve Collapse? My nose was naturally very thin, so the sides have not been surgically changed. Only dorsal hump and tip. Help?

The indentation you noted is not really in the area for valve collapse so you are probably OK there. If it's something that bothers you, a filler can easily be injected in the area to make it a little smoother. Be sure to see an expert injector for consultation.

We can see that you have a small indentation along the right side wall of your nose. As long as you are breathing well on the right side, I would not be concerned about nasal valve collapse. If this indentation is bothering you, depending on your examination, microdroplet Silikon-1000 injections may be considered for permanently filling it in. Wishing you well! Sincerely, Dr Joseph
