Is 44lbs or 20kgs too much weight to lift 7 weeks post op?

Wonderlandalice
My surgeon said I can increase my weights by 10kgs each week, 6 weeks post op. I have done x3 sessions a week where the most I have lifted is 44lbs/20kgs. I do only leg based workouts but have to grab the bar from the shelf and either lift it into my back for squats or to place it on my hips for weighted hip thrusts. I am conscious about not letting the chest take the load and have done my best to isolate the weight to my arms. Could this do any damage? I’m feeling achey in one side.
