Is a burning feeling near incision normal?

Thank you for your question.  The sensation that you are describing at the incision site is quite normal.  As healing progresses, these sensations will subside.  Any increase in pain, swelling or redness should be discussed with your plastic surgeon.  Good luck.

Thank you for your question.It's possible that you are having nerve pain that often can take up to three months to resolve. I would not advise performing upper body exercise for 12 weeks and when you do, ease into it slowly.  Typically, the more you strengthen your pectoral muscles the implants can possibly be pulled up into an unnatural and possibly uneven position. Andrew T. The symptoms that you are experiencing can be very normal, especially being less than a week out from surgery. It's also normal to have more burning/pain on one side more so than the other. At this point, I would follow all the postop instructions that you were given. The symptoms will soon subside. Best of luck.

That is a very normal feeling during the healing process.  Just keep a watchful eye on the incision to ensure that it’s not getting red or too painful showing signs of an infection.  

Hello and thank you for your question. It sounds like nerve pain which is normal . It can be a shooting pain, burning, electrical like feel as well.  It will go away with time, the dry blood has nothing to do with it.

Thank you for your question. It is not uncommon to have aches and pain early on after surgery. The red flags after surgery are fever, pus coming out of the wound, increased pain, new onset swelling. Early on it is always best to get seen and examined in person by your plastic surgeon.

Nothing will replace in-person evaluation when it comes to accurate assessment and with providing you peace of mind.   Having said that, the type of sensation you are experiencing is commonly reported after breast augmentation surgery.
