I'm 3 months post op. My Dr said not to worry that every body reacts differently. I'm back to wearing the compression garment to ease discomfort. He suggested using a rolling pin to help smooth things out. I'm concerned.
Answer: Still swollen after three months. Is this normal? Looking for second opinion. (photo) Photos look like loose skin and fluid collection. Area could be improved with a lipo revision expert.

Answer: Swelling After Liposuction For some patients the results will not be seen for 6 months or maybe more. Wait a few more months and talk to your surgeon about your concerns. Good luck.

Answer: Still swollen after three months. Is this normal? Looking for second opinion. (photo) After any type of liposuction procedure I advise my patients to wear their compression garment for at least six weeks. At the end of six weeks most of the swelling will have subsided, and they typically see the majority of their results. However, the complete results may not be apparent until up to 12 weeks post-procedure. At the three month follow up, my patients usually are ready to see their final results, and ready to show off their new contoured figure. I am afraid that you may not have been a good candidate for liposuction only in the first place. Swelling is typical for up to 12 weeks and may last up to six months or longer depending on the patient, so I encourage my patients to be patient if their results are not visible within the first 12 weeks.

Answer: Post-Liposuction After Care -- Compression, Lymphatic Massage, Hyperbaric Oxygen, Radiofrequency (Venus Legacy, Exilis, Forma) It is too soon to tell what your final results will be. You likely have swelling, which can last 3 to 6 months after your procedure. It will take 6 to 12 months to see the final outcome. I recommend following up with your physician about their suggested after care protocol. I have my patients wear compression for 3 to 6 weeks straight and then overnight for 3 to 6 months after their procedure. I suggest adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding Vanquish for further fat removal; truSculpt iD, Exilis, Forma, and Venus Legacy for additional skin tightening; and Cellutone / ZWave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. Ultimately, if you are unhappy with your results, please speak to your physician and ensure that he/she was a full body VASER Hi-Definition liposuction physician with extensive experience in contouring and body shaping -- and not just traditional fat reduction. You can always get a revision procedure by an expert if needed. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Still swollen after three months. Is this normal? Looking for second opinion. Thanks for your question. Although you're still healing and should wait a few more months to see the final results, you appear to have some irregularities which can be hard to correct. Best is to wait until you're 6 months after the surgery then follow up with your surgeon.
