2nd breast augmentation, 575cc MPp to 800 cc HP and they look the same as before, why?

Thank you for your question.  You need to understand that your old implants were not "small", 575cc would be considered a fairly large implant for most patients.  In going to 800cc you have only added 225cc to what you already had but that is the largest implant that is available in the US right now.  If you did not have implants to begin with but your breasts were the size they were with the 575cc implants and you came in wanting to look significantly larger then your surgeon would probably use a much larger implant than 225 cc but in this case that would not be possible.  Until larger implants become available here you will just have to be happy with what you have.

Your concerns are not unusual; many patients feel that they are "too small" when they evaluate their breasts immediately after surgery.   It will give you peace of mind to confirm  breast implant size utilized with your plastic surgeon.Patience  will likely be your "best friend".  I have heard this complaint not infrequently after upsizing a patient's implants especially early in the postoperative phase. You might be better off comparing your photograph preoperatively with that of what you look like postoperatively in about a month to best appreciate that there should be a readily discernible difference in size between 575 and 800 mL implants. It may provide you some comfort to know that, without going to custom made implants, there is no larger size than 800. Best of luck.
