Hi, my name is Elsa I'm 22 years old. 5,7 ,144lbs , and have saline breast size 600cc for the past 4 years now. I have had a baby and I'm upgrading my boobs to silicone. My doctor recommended I got up to 750cc. I am wondering if that will look good for my body?
Answer: Curious if upgrading my saline 600cc implants to 750cc silicone implants will look good on my frame? Well, you look pretty fabulous with your present size, so it's all about your goals, as I suspect your anatomy will allow a 150cc increase. This will likely add just over a half bra cup size to your present bra size. Your proportions look wonderful in bra and clingy dress, so adding a half cup size or more to your present size may give you a somewhat more voluptuous look, if that is what you are seeking. But, you said this is what your surgeon recommended, so I can surmise that you have a bit of breast skin laxity or droop that s/he is trying to "fill up." If you like how you look naked (nipples not pointing down or breast skin hanging over your underlying breast implants (waterfall or Snoopy deformity)), then you can decide if you want silicone implants the same size, slightly larger, or 150cc larger. If your surgeon is trying to avoid a breast lift, then I understand the recommendation, which makes sense ONLY if you want to go larger on your own, since you have to buy new implants anyway.Don't be "talked into" larger implants simply because you OR your surgeon (or both) don't want the cost or scars of a breast lift. But if you truly are OK with a bit larger, then that is not a bad plan to deal with a bit more skin laxity. It also depends on whether or not you are planning more babies. You are young, and you'll have these implants for most if not all of your life. Best wishes! Dr. Tholen

Answer: Breasts Thank you for your question and pictures. Changing from 600 saline to 750 Silicone will make your breast a little larger but not too much larger. The saline and silicone implants behave differently. It seems you are comfortable with your size of breasts and as long as you do not mind being just a little bigger then you will be fine.

Answer: Curious if upgrading my saline 600cc implants to 750cc silicone implants will look good on my frame? Thank you for the question. Although it is not possible to provide you with definitive advice without an person evaluation, most patients are able to "go larger" at a second stage, once the breast tissues have expanded (after first-time breast augmentation and/or after pregnancy)). Sometimes, during this revisionary surgery, adjustment of the breast implant capsules is also necessary to achieve the desired outcome.Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering revisionary breast augmentation surgery is:1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work. 2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or "up a cup size” or "D or DD cup" or "good on my body" etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. 3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your chosen plastic surgeon to work with you in determining the best plan to achieve your goals.I hope this, and the attached link (dedicated to larger breast augmentation surgery concerns), helps. Best wishes.
